Does anyone know how to dodge or counter missiles? Am I missing something? |

The only thing I know of that would help with missiles is the power that gives you shield for a short duration, rolling and looping only seem to affect laser fire. |

Best general practice to avoiding missiles is to keep a large distance from enemy ships. Many enemies can shoot up to 1000-1500 away, but their missile range can be as low as 75 to 150. Bombers, wanted ships and some specialized ships having larger ranges. If you are boosting as well (especially in interceptors) you can hit speeds where you fly faster than the missiles themselves. As Knave said, using the defensive abilities can help out greatly too. There's no countermeasure or chaff system in Dawnstar, but the missiles also do significantly less damage compared to most other space sims. Edited by: WraithEnt |

I guess I was flying right up to the boss ship, and just getting pummelled with missiles! Good to know, I'll have to change tactics! |
