Description

Dave is retiring in 30 days. Dave loves to shop online. Use all the money Dave makes in his last 30 days to purchase whatever you please online. Of course, Dave's wife has some stuff she wants too, like that new wallpaper. Buy items and collectibles for your home. Buy power ups to help you get through levels. Talk to quirky co-workers to hear about new websites. Dave is a hard worker...when he has his coffee! In PacMan inspired game play for the work scene you must collect all the coffee beans on the screen and make it to the coffee maker without getting caught by Chatty Cathy. If you succeed, you have a productive day and get paid. If you fail, you are unproductive and receive no compensation.

History

Dave-Man started as a game jam in the Summer of 2018. The game's goal was simply to recreate some mechanics similar to PacMan but with an office theme and Earthbound inspired art. Though the game jam went well something seemed lacking afterwards. Dave's home and wife was added to break up the action and give Dave a chance to purchase some upgrades. NPC co-workers were sprinkled throughout levels to spice up the levels and add some story and depth.

Though the game jam in 2018 was the beginning of Dave-Man, it was not the beginning of Dave and Chatty Cathy (and Tom the Janitor) and it will not be the end...
