Darkout is a sandbox, with strategy and survival components. One of the clearest influences present in the game comes from titles like Minecraft or Terraria, sandbox platformers where the player can build up facilities and modify his environment at will. But in Darkout there are some interesting points that make it worth to look at, starting by the importance that light has in the game. Honestly, I might buy it if I get the money, but it will be one of my last choices for sandbox games. Mainly because the sandbox gold mine has already been used by Terraria, Minecraft, Dwarf Fortress, Survivors of Ragnarok, King Arthur's Gold but also by Edge of Space, Starbound and Junk Jack. I loved each of these games but each time the excitement diminshed a bit. While your game has the very interesting concept of more realistic survival, the enemies lack enough details, but you might fix that for release. The reason I'm not that attracted to the game is the sloppy aspect and the idea of true survival, not just settling, that has already been used at higher extent by Edge of Space. Still, after I'm done with the games on my to-buy list, this will be a nice addition.
