Darkness Inside The Light is a game about Horror, survival, and escape. You play as a man, known as experiment #1642, Who wakes up in a containment cell unaware of Who he is, where he is, and why he's there. As you play the game, you will encounter Horrific Experiments and creations. Along with these experiments, you'll find documents that help explain what these things are, who you are, and why you're there. Now, to be clear, this isn't a cheesy Jump scare game. There ARE jumpscares though. However, How scary they really are depends on the player. As I continue making this game, I will release Demo builds whenever I make improvements I Consider to be major. Note that the Storyline is NOT IMPLEMENTED, and will be in the next big update. BIG NOTE: IF YOU DOWNLOAD THE GAME AND DO NOT READ THE "README": YOU MUST PRESS CTRL TO OPEN THE DOORS, NOT ENTER. If more people want this done, I will. This started as just a hobby but now I'm motivated and if you want it, you got it.

Report RSS Room symmetry pain and progress so far

Just the progress on the recreation of the game in Unity so far.

Alright, so I was taking a bit of a break for a day on game design, and now that I went back, things got painful for me.
Lining up the room walls exactly for new rooms was an ABSOLUTE PAIN.
But I believe it's alright now.
Also, looking into what to do for Animation and so on.
The game is looking alright so far, but it's in no way ready to play - I've got much more work to do.
I hope you guys will enjoy it even more on the new Engine.
Also, when I can, I plan on getting some assets that'll help with the game production.
Granted, I know I said the game was mostly going to be from scratch, this is the part where I need something - Scripts.
That being said, the scripts in a few thing are going to be VERY helpful, so I'm buying them.
I can't script much on my own and what I can do is very limited, so getting even a few will definitely improve the game in various ways.
Anywho, that's it for now.
Oh yeah, and the opening menu has a (pretty crudely made) piano as well now, because I felt like it.
If you have a suggestion for something to be on the title screen, go ahead and suggest it.

And as always,
Stay classy, folks.
