Darkness Inside The Light is a game about Horror, survival, and escape. You play as a man, known as experiment #1642, Who wakes up in a containment cell unaware of Who he is, where he is, and why he's there. As you play the game, you will encounter Horrific Experiments and creations. Along with these experiments, you'll find documents that help explain what these things are, who you are, and why you're there. Now, to be clear, this isn't a cheesy Jump scare game. There ARE jumpscares though. However, How scary they really are depends on the player. As I continue making this game, I will release Demo builds whenever I make improvements I Consider to be major. Note that the Storyline is NOT IMPLEMENTED, and will be in the next big update. BIG NOTE: IF YOU DOWNLOAD THE GAME AND DO NOT READ THE "README": YOU MUST PRESS CTRL TO OPEN THE DOORS, NOT ENTER. If more people want this done, I will. This started as just a hobby but now I'm motivated and if you want it, you got it.

But there should be 5 by the end of this, and they'll all get more complex at least in size.
The game textures may change in a later build but that's only if I can find decent replaceable textures for the stock ones.
Otherwise, deal with it.
Sorry. I'm doing all the work and I can't do everything unfortunately.
However!By the end of the year, 3 new levels or no, a new demo will be released.
Thanks for the patience. It probably won't be up to par especially for anyone who waited - But hey, I lost creativity awhile back, and I'm limited.
I just want to finish this game for fun, maybe make another simpler but.. Calmer, game. Nothing big, just a fun little experiment.

Awesome review! I appreciate it, and, I'll be saying this both here and on the video, but, would you mind reviewing the game again when it's re-released in Unity? It'd have a huge change from what you saw and it'd be a different experience as well, so it won't represent what many have seen so far!
(Also, in terms of the bugs, those were more or less engine glitches as far as I'm aware - Those won't happen in the next big demo update!)

It'll be awhile until another release is around for a demo, but the demo will start from base one.
Meaning, Demo 0.0.1.
BUT, it will hold much more and do so much more for people than my original demos.

Hey man, so we finally were able to try the demo and we have to say that it is actually better than expected. Better than some other horror games we found here on indiedb for sure.
I really liked the idea of theses sick experiments that were going on there. But I would like some more diversity.
When talking about diversity, the environments could also be a bit more diverse and more detailed. Of course it is a very early version, but this is something that needs more work.
What the game really needs is a bit more (ambient) music. It was silent most of the time except for some grumbling in the backround. For a certain time it played some eerie music and that build up so much tension.
A bit more story would also be great. I did not really know why we are actually there and a goal despite getting out of there would also be cool and this teleportation ouf of a dead end in the middle of the game was also a bit akward.
I also want to say something about the voice of the character. It almost seemed too cool for the main character. I reminded me a bit of some action hero or something. I think my voice would sound differently when I wake up in this complex full of monsters and corpses.
So keep it up and we are looking forward to the first unity demo.

FPSC Limited me on much of what you described, including diversity and music.
I'm learning what I can for unity right now and a lot of the game will be different when it comes to Unity. It may not be the first demo BUT, it will be changed to be much better.
Also as a sidenote, the voicing was me, and it was supposed to be a filler until we had a good voice actor.
We still don't. :\
