Cry of Fear is a singleplayer modification of Half-Life 1 which brings you the horror you've always been afraid of. It's a total conversion of Half-Life 1, which means it uses NO Half-Life 1 content or other peoples' files. It's all made exclusively by the developers. It also uses new gaming styles that you will rarely find in Half-Life mods, such as advanced cutscenes and other stuff that will be revealed at a later date.

ok at least ad a law rocket launcher (1 or 2 shots max) so we can take out the tallers with out losing most a squad.
Looks cool. Also, co-op seems near impossible. Me + friend can't even get past the first street. I know it was designed for four players, but it's a bit, well, you knwo... too much
Type in console "difficulty 1", it's possible with two people.
Me and my friend were able to beat the co-op without affecting the difficulty. It's just fine. The first levels were preaty easy to get past. Some levels we kept dying on, but after a few tries, we beat them.
It is possible , but you need to knows some "tactics" and probably play SP to get hang of it a bit. I will give you a "golden" tip: Do not kill every monster you see in Co-op. You will just waste too much health and bullets. Better run past them. Though you can do as Gonzo says if you want Co-op to be easier and don't want to play SP.
Haha well I did not finish SP all the way through, watched walkthroughs instead. I'll keep running past them in mind, though.

The story I guess is:
The police run in before Simon even finish writing the book and somehow the police get stuck into it. As the book isn't finished, there are no ending for them. What they really can do is survive until the times over and Simon suicide.
