Grandest Grand Strategy Ever!
Great game, just too much DLC that needed to be in the game from the start.
I found that this games mixture of political turmoil and conquest were extremely fun, especially to a Political Science major. Players who are expecting to take over the world will be surprised to learn just how hard this task is when you try to rule over a large group of separate and diverse peoples, many of whom have long standing grudges and won't accept anyone that isn't of their religion.
This game has it all; a wealth of options that increases with every new patch (even the free ones!), a great and growing mod community and the ever present emergent gameplay that this kind of game offers. You will not be disappointed.
A great medieval political simulator, with a ton of awesome content. Only problem would be it tends to get a bit boring after about 100 years of ingame play....it's not that much fun sitting on an Empire.
I have played this game for hundreds of hours. It is by far the best Paradox grand strategy game. It has a perfect blend of RPG elements and strategic elements. Also, the mod community is fantastic and usually has the type of thing you're looking for.
One of the more enjoyable games I've played. Not only does it have warfare elements, but it also reflects inter-character relationships well.
I've been playing this game for over 1000 hours and it still is fun after so much time playing it.
Crusader Kings 2 is one of best games played by me, combining real-time grand strategy with RPG elements, game is a dynastical and feudal simulator, which set apart from other Paradox games focused on nation builiding. I recommended game to be played with DLCs which adding immersion and flavour to basegame
10/10 A must for strategy gamers and history lovers
This is the only game where it's acceptable to sleep with your own mom and plot to kill your siblings to get their stuff.
