Our vision is to make an all new "point-and-click" adventure game with the same feel and vibe as some of the classic games we love (Quest for Glory, Monkey Island, etc.), but with our own original twist. It will feature original artwork, animations, story-line, full voice-acting, and music. We're using the same "old-school" resolution as those classic 90's games to give it that retro nostalgia, but we are also implementing some modern art techniques, gameplay mechanics, music, and gameplay/story pacing that will cater to players of this generation... so that new-comers to "point-and-click" style games can understand and enjoy the experience, as well as by the veteran adventure gamers. The overall atmosphere and story will have a mysterious, yet exciting and dangerous feeling, that will be sure to keep players "on there toes".

Alum release date reveal and new updates & media! We are excited to finally be able to share Alum with everyone, and the day is drawing nigh!

We are coming close to the finish line with releasing our point-and-click adventure game, Alum, and we have some exciting news to share with everyone:

First off, we want to thank everyone who voted us up on our green-light page. We were "green-lit" about 3 or 4 months ago, so the game will now be available on Steam!

We are currently working on integrating the game into steam with their SDK kit, and the game will be available on there, upon release, for PC, MAC, and Linux. We also plan to integrate steam achievements, cards, ect., in the near future... So keep an eye out for that.

Okay, so enough talk about Steam... When is the game actually coming out?:

We will be releasing the game on May 15, 2015. Here is the "release reveal" video we posted on our kickstarter page, if you're interested in more info about the release:Youtu.be

We will also be releasing a brand new trailer about a week or so prior to the release of the game.

So stay tuned for the release of Alum, and tell anyone you know who might be interested in the game about it... We are not releasing the game under a publisher, therefore we need help to get exposure and make the game a success so we can continue to make awesome P&C games for you. If you're a press member for a video game site, or you run a website/blog, and you think Alum would be a good candidate for review, please shoot us an email ( @ crashablestudios@gmail.com ) and let us know.

Other news, media, and links regarding Alum can be found at our page.

Thank you for your time and for checking out Alum... Cheers!

Good Sir, I beg you: Tell me that you'll offer your game also in a proper DRM-free version. In that case I would buy it right away.

Uhh... Well, we are planning on submitting it to GOG again, and possibly other online distributors, after the game is officially done being made... But, I think for the initial launch it will just be available on steam. The only reason for this is because I think we need a finished build of the game to submit to the DRM free guys. Which may take a few weeks or so (not really sure, just guessing) for them to test it and post it on their site. At any rate, we for sure plan on having a DRM free version of it available at some point. Thanks, man!

Thank you, CaLthulhas. With modern digital painting techniques, I was able to sort of mimic that graphic style... but with our own creative flare and a completely original world for the game to take place in, that is something different than has been seen in this genre.
