Play as the zombies! Conniption is an upcoming indie game by FarrugiaSoft in which you play as an infectious disease with the sole purpose of eliminating everyone on Earth. Play as an ultra-intelligent self-aware virus capable of reanimating the dead and turning them into your minions. Spread amongst the globe, infecting and reanimating all those who stand in your way. Strategically place and position your infected, hunt down terrified civilians, mutate and evolve your ranks, construct diseased structures, terrorize military interventions and invoke state-wide biological disasters. Take humanity by surprise and leave no survivors.

We are proud to say that after several months of work we have finally reached a state where we can release Conniption as Early Access.

Conniption will be released as Virus 14 next Thursday (January 29th 2015) at 10:00 PST (18:00 GMT). After several rewrites of the entire game, where we redid the entire system using a hex-grid system, strategy and even board game style, we have finally redid the game in a style we feel will be able to represent the scale of the game.

The game is still in Early Access and the features present are minimal, but updates will be released regularly and next update is scheduled on February 9th 2015.

Thanks for everyone that helped us during this journey and we hope to see you leading your zombie invasion to the best you can. The store page can be viewed here Store.steampowered.com

Will be possible for the player(s) to focus on single buildings, sending the zombies in, in order to infect the humans that tried to refuge (and consequentially barricade) themselves there?

Definitely. Military and civilians will take shelter in buildings and the only option to clear the building is to infect it. In addition, structures can also be built for cheaper resources into already existing man made buildings.

please make world map navigation easier, you only allow mouse drag on world map, and it takes forever to find your units. Also, only through random button mashing did i managed to make units move, you had a useful tutorial mission first thing, but no instructions or info on keys for world map. Maybe make a key to zoom to units, dragging the mouse to spin the world round, whilst the world is spining by itself, while tryign to remember where the hell your units are is very frustrating.

also, why when i complete a mission, does it return me to a random spot on the world map, instead of the location i was last at?

Hey! Thanks for the info. Yeah in the new version we have scaled up the horde models and they are now much more visible. We have removed planet rotation to remove the confusion and it now saves the camera position to get to the position where you were last at. Thanks again.
