City States is a management video game under development with the ambitious goal of giving an innovative and exciting experience. The game is an isometric view city builder and freely inspired by the era of medieval towns. The player will be called to impersonate a Lord, that is the governor of a city with the task of transforming it from a small village into the economic, military and cultural capital of the known world.

Main features:

City States vision is to revisit the genre to give a new experience for city builders. The features we are working on are:

  • a 2D isometric game map for the management of the city, inhabitants and all production activities;
  • a 2D hexagonal game map for the advanced management of relations with other city states (diplomacy, trade, espionage, etc...) and the management of armies within the known world;
  • an innovative and engaging real-time battle system;
  • an in-depth characterization of the main characters with characteristic features, genealogical trees, lines of succession, etc...
  • a detailed technological tree for an immersive game experience from early to late game;

Si vis pacem, para bellum:

Where diplomacy fails, the sword will win. City States wants to create a dynamic, multicultural, complex and hostile game environment.

The player's goal must be to extend his influence to adjacent territories to ensure his cultural and economic survival. This will not always be possible with normal diplomacy so it will be essential to have an army ready and trained to defend our territories and conquer new ones. All this must be supported by an adequate economy and well-defended supply lines.

The ambition of the development team is to recreate epic battles in real time by challenging the military general in each of us.
