CHIVALRY: Medieval Warfare is a first-person medieval online combat game that seeks to deliver the intensity of epic hollywood medieval block busters to the hands of a gamer. CHIVALRY hurls the player into a fictional medieval world where the Agathian Knights are battling against the newly formed Mason Order for control of the lands of Agatha.

I suggest less blood, unless plate armor is alive and it can bleed...

This is one of those viscerality> logic games it seems. So... I love it.

Well all these swords cutting through platemail and such. I don't see how someone could make a really good medieval combat game where many weapons are massively ineffective. Kinda like that ending fight scene in that one hamlet movie...

I dont know why there should be less blood .. ever thought why people die even if they wear armor? Not only because of blunt trauma.

In real battles plate armour was virtually invulnerable to sword slashes. It also protects the wearer well against spear or pike thrusts and provides decent defence against blunt trauma. So weapons very very rarely had any effect on plate armor, actually if you wanted to penetrate plate armor you needed to stab not slash, and when you did a successful stab it would go only about half centimeter sometimes 1. Soldiers were usually aiming at weak spots where there is only mail armor or where parts of plate armor come together and still we didn't have so much blood as in this video. You can only see that in hollywood. Once again i just said it needed less blood for the sake of realism, i didn't say the game is bad or anything. On the contrary the game is breathtaking, it just needs less blood.

I don't know what hollywood has to do with anything.

The most of these models wear chainmail, and plates for arms and legs, I admit it is also a good defense against slashes, but if your sword is sharp enough to cut through it(and even kill someone) why shouldn't there be blood?

That was not supposed to be offending or something like that. I just don't think that this is too much blood. I think compared to some other medieval games this one is more one of those with less blood.

Mm.

Loving it.

AoC, I had so many fun times playing this and you're fixing all the issues I had with AoC.

I suggest less drop on the arrow though.

I mean I saw the guy pull it back and as soo nas it left the bow it was arcing...

I know realism isn't a focus here, but it's frustrating as it should stry straight for quite abit longer unless those arrows are made of lead and pulled by a poorly fed peasant.

If I have any crit about this, it's the pain screen effect. The glowing just doesn't convey "pain" to me.

I would definitely be one for a bit less jarring movements. Possibly a max turn speed to prevent what happened in the mod with attack and retreat being a major tactic (damn harpys).

A major step up from the last trailer definitely! Amazing work guys!

How is this like mount and blade? The combat mechanics are far different, it's primarily first person instead of third, and it has a much faster pace to it. Now I LOVE Warband online, and this is not comparable to it.

Just because both games are medieval styled, doesn't make them anything alike otherwise. (Like the borderlands looks like fallout 3 bs)

You must have confused "critical" with "blind".

I hope this gains more fans. Seems like a freakin' great time if there are a lot of people playing on the servers. That would be nice to play a 64 player game.
