CERES is a cyber-tactical space combat game, where you lead a squadron of ships in an exploration and battle-filled single-player campaign. Inspired by Homeworld, Elite and Paradroid, it features thorough ship customization, advanced cyber-warfare and elaborate space combat. Command your ships in a rich 3D environment, manage your crew and artificial intelligences, mine, explore and trade your way through multiple missions -while keeping clear of alien monsters, rogue machines and dangerous transhuman mutants.

Development of this game is ongoing. I've been working on more bugs of late, changing minor things. Most work has been done on the large Solar system map, in movement and modding areas.

Development of this game is ongoing. I've been working on more bugs of late, changing minor things. Most work has been done on the large Solar system map, in movement and modding areas.Clouds have been added to the Solar system map to add some obstacles for movement.Clouds can for example affect speed, radar range, energy regeneration rate and they can also be corrosive. Clouds will be present both in the large Solar system map and the encounter(Combat) maps.
Trader now travel between space stations carrying mercantile. These traders can of course be attacked and pillaged. Traders can have escorts of defence vessels. I plan to add factions to the game. These faction can be at a state of war with each other or at peace.
This can affect trade and the player can take sides. Each faction holds control of space station and various regions of space. Theses control areas can change. The player can get combat missions to defend or attack these areas, or just run smaller missions to affect the control of the areas.

Areas around space stations will be under the protection of the faction that owns it. Various areas of asteroid field will also be protected but other areas are controlled by pirates or other various rogue factions.

The player can also scan areas of the Solar system map. Scanning attracts attention so the player should be careful where he scans. The more dangerous the area, the better chance to find something of interest but it could also make the player a target of hostile ships.
