Here is some information on the upcoming release of our game Cat Evil, which will be the Alpha 0.0.2 release. We have been hard at work to further improve the gaming experience for our first players.
We have fixed the following bugs:
- Graphical improvements for trees, walls and some stores.
- Improved enemies; they are no longer running on their hind legs (even though that was one funny bug!).
We have also added new content:
- New prefabs
- Procedural enemy spawn system
- Procedural world (endless runner)
- Scoring system
Obviously we will continue to evolve our little game by adding more graphical details, improving the gameplay and adding an online leaderboard to the scoring system. A first version of this can be viewed on the website of Cat Evil (play.catevil.com) and in the game.
Let's play: Cat Evil Alpha 0.0.2 was tested by some of our friends who all loved the atmosphere of the game and especially our main character, the cute cat. The gameplay also achieved the desired result: the players are quickly hooked on the game and they neither want nor indeed can manage to stop playing it. The game music also obtained the desired effect: it's catchy and becomes slightly annoying after a while.
In brief, our game appeals, but there are still a lot of details to improve.
