You know, I never know how to start off these type of things so....Hello? :) Well, I just now open up a indie game page for my new game that's called “Captured: The Great Escape”, and it's about you, the player, escaping from a prison type place. It's like a 3D Puzzle game where you have to find things to set you free. Some things may be in plain sight, but it won't always be so straightforward.

Well, I just now open up a indie game page for my new game that's called “Captured: The Great Escape”, and it's about you, the player, escaping from a prison type place. It's like a 3D Puzzle game where you have to find things to set you free. Some things may be in plain sight, but it won't always be so straightforward.

I've been into game developing for years, and even had a attempt on this site earlier(Robot Wars: The Chamber's of Secret – Yeah, a lot to take in) but this is the first time where I am creating a game, game...I created my first attempt on UDK, and this game is on Unity. I've been using Unity for 2-3 years, but lack of confidence in my abilities made me not do anything. I just wasted time doing tutorials and going back in forth in wanting to build apps or do video games....In the end, the ONLY desire I have is doing games. Which is the only avenue in life, right? ;)

Anyways, I had a thought of this game a year or two ago but thought it was to simple and not many people would want to play it because of how easy it may look. This was my mind talking to me, and trying to persuade me not to do this. In the coming months I've relearned Unity, and instead of having the pressure of other people's work I decided that I will do a game that is of MY SKILLSET and worry about the advanced coding and game design when time permits...

Which we make a complete 360 with this game idea. I know at the beginning I said “People don't want single games” but, through the years I've notice that the best indie games are the one's that is “simple.” And the most important thing in game development is what? FINISHING THE GAME! Which, BTW, I have yet to do. So, if simple ideas get the games finished, then simple it is. Which is what I should be worrying about now.

Now, the game will have you going into rooms, entering key codes, etc. I want it be a fun “Adventure” type of game where you search for things to escape. It's nothing tooooo difficult, but the level of difficulty do rise in each level. Not all levels will have you looking for just one thing.

This is a Alpha release. It's only 2 levels. Once you get to the second level, it will start over. To exit, press the escape button. I want you guys to give me your thoughts on what you seen so far. Whether you like the levels, and what you think should be changed; Just post and give me opinions about it.

I didn't mean to make this a personal post, it just happened that I did. I hope you guys stay with me till the release! Check back with some more updates.
