New video is on the way! news - Blockade Runner

The next video(s) in the editor series will be available this upcoming week! We've spent some extra time (I'm sure you've noticed!) with some very special features to make sure that they will work in the future, and work very well for the multiplayer. This requires a lot of pre-planning and concentration to keep us from bottle-necking important capabilities or overshooting the CPU/GPU/Memory/Netcode restrictions, as well as making sure several other interconnected systems that haven't been shown yet are humming along just as well.

Blockade Runner is not a hobby, but a 7 days a week full-time job passion for us to ensure we've delivered on what we've promised. Thanks to all of you we're building a game we've thought about since childhood, and are following an overarching development plan that will span for years of development - even after we inevitably increase the staff to speed up production! It's the reason why we chose to build our engine from scratch rather than use the out-of-the-box solutions; our minds are set on building something that truly stands on its own, and brings together the best of the great game mechanics we grew up on during 80's and 90's with what's now possible in the 21st century.

It's a dream come true to see the game's core engine coming together. We hope you'll enjoy the impending videos, the approaching indev editor, and all that will be brought into Blockade Runner in the coming months!
