Interior design in Blockade Runner just got better with Part 6 of our editor videos: Multiple Interiors!


Multiple interiors allow players to separate each room’s theme, giving much more ability for creative design and to distinguish the different rooms of your ship. For example, engineering rooms can look industrial and dirty, and the bridge can look regal and clean. (Cause engineers love being dirty. :D)


Interiors can be placed with any shape as well, making larger ship designs much easier to decorate. Check out the video below and see multiple interiors in action.







Each of the interior materials can have fully trimmed floor and ceiling, which means they will automatically rearrange their trimmed edges when another interior or material is adjacent. The overall goal is for the ship’s interiors to be easy to design, allow for plenty of creativity, and have a low performance overhead for the upcoming multiplayer.
