LAN and port-forwarded (port 32411) servers are the only ones that will likely work in this version!

After the initial release of the multiplayer, we got a lot of feedback on the miscellaneous bugs that were occuring! We were quite delighted however to find that the master server even worked at all, having prematurely written it off as dysfunctional.

It appears the master server does in-fact work for servers with a proper port-forwarding setup, and we're hoping some of the community can test servers without port forwarding setup in 0.58.1 and let us know if they successfully get a game going.

Please visit the IRC to help setup multiplayer games with other players and to hopefully have any questions you might have regarding setting up a server answered. NOTE: This version is still considered "somewhat-unstable"! =P

Server Timeouts

We seemed to have been getting a lot of "server timeout" messages and have made some corrections that will hopefully alleviate them a bit. If the game still frequently displays a server timeout message, please let us know!

We want your ships!

We'd like to get a more up-to-date pack of starting ships for BR! We're going to want to keep the whole entities folder down to about 5-10mb when compressed, so our selection will have to be limited by a bit. Preferred ships would be Enormity size 20 and below, and with weapons. Submit your zipped creation in this forum thread or send it to support@zanmgt.com "RE: ship submission".
