Blaze is a retro/minimalistic styled sci-fi first person flight/shooter action game. The game can be played almost single handedly with just mouse. It's about shooting a lot of alien things (in semi-randomized missions?). The alien things are trying capture all your base, and have already captured at least half of it. You have to defend the base and capture the alien controlled areas back. Or something like that...
Showing some gameplay with the aliens which are now animated. They don't have new sounds or gibs effects yet, and they don't walk in the ceilings (but they have the animations done for that). Unanimated monsters not included in the video.
Also decided to remove whatever I had going on in the upper HUD. It didn't feel like adding anything interesting to the gameplay.
Wow...do you have to destroy the corpses (like they respawn), or are there just a ton of them?
There just were a lot of them... 130 to be exact.
That "gingerbeast" monster can resurrect them. It can resurrect them from both corpses and gibs (the "head" gibs).
Think I sorted out the bullets getting stuck in mid-air bug. They were getting stuck because they got FL_ONGROUND flag set... How do they get that if they're not even touching the ground? Or do things get it when they're on top of others? Kind of seems like it.
Looks beautiful and a whole lotta fun!
