This is a 3d side-scrolling remake of the 1988 classic NES game Blaster Master' The tiny 8-bit sprites will be reconceived as high poly normal mapped models' Gameplay and level design will remain true to the original, but the art style will have a more organic/grotesque/creepy feel to it' The engine is based on the Quake source with some heavy modifications that I've made to the renderer' The game will be freely distributed and users do not need to own any other software to run it'

Description

These are my ZBrush models for the BlasterMaster remake. I included the sphere based models for those that I still had on my HD. I'd recommend exporting a low poly (2-5k polys) to use for in-game and the highest detail level (1 million+ polys) as the base for the normal map. I was able to successfully use this technique by exporting to OBJ format and using an old version of nVidia's Melody tool to generate the normal maps.
