When Rosa Blackwell’s only relative dies after twenty years in a coma, she thinks the worst is over. This all changes when Joey Mallone, a sardonic ghost from the 1930s, blows into her life and tells her that she is a medium. Whether they like it or not, it is up to them to cure the supernatural ills of New York in this critically-acclaimed series of point-and-click adventure games.

Great game. Great story. Dialogue is funny and the voice acting is done very well. The pixel art really sends you back to the good old days of the tentacle, mokey island etc. Very entertaining stuff! Highly recommended.
Going to play Blackwell Deception now. It's a shame i came across this gem so late. Did I say highly recommended already? Well, highly recommended.

Exellent oldschool point and click, good plot twists, not too easy, not too hard.

I picked up the Blackwell Trilogy in the Christmas Indie Royale collection but had not found time to sit and 'properly' play it. After recently finishing LA Noire I had an urge to play a good adventure game and Blackwell was at the top of my list.

The game is now fully voice acted, and pretty well. It looks great (depending on how you feel about the more retro aesthetic) The game history is well documented on Wikipedia. It has was developed using the Adventure Game Studio tool and has been successful for this type of title.

I don't want to offer any spoilers for future players but its a great story that is well told with likeable characters. The game has a slow but intriguing pace and I didn't find it a chore at all, even when I was combining random names together in a note book to further the story.

The plot follows Rosa who is a freelance journalist as she suddenly inherits the 'family ghost' after her aunt dies. there is a conversation with a doctor early in the game that implies that Rosa maybe insane. I have no doubt that this will be mentioned again in the later games.

Joey, the Family ghost is vague about his origin but is quite clear that if Rosa does not help him send restless spirits 'on their way' she will indeed go insane. The premise of story would make a fantastic novel (if it's not already one) and is far more satisfying than you would expect from a 'smaller' title like this one.

The game took me just under three hours from start to finish, I played it in one sitting and enjoyed every moment of it. I have been left wanting to know more about Rosa and Joey. I am looking forward to finding time to play the next one in the series.

Good bunch of games, played and beat them all.

The best adventure saga in many many years. The games themselves are a bit short, but the writing, the puzzle design and the characters are wonderful. A must have.

Played trilogy on Steam. I didn't expect that I would get interested in any game from Indie Royale, but I surprisingly feel in love with series. That also made me convinced to buy all Indie Royales in future as you'll never know if you'll love some obscure series you have never heard off.

I came near this story for accident, but in fact I've found a series which I love much more than some mega popular games. Story, characters, music, athmospere... All of this are amazing. I really loved playing as Rosa and watching her slowly change her life and open her mind to new things little by little (and that's what all of us should be able to do). Blackwell family has many secrets, but not all of them are dark; and I really recommend you to discover them by yourself.
