Large companies invest millions in the comerz-sport, while the gladiators fight over every electronic coin with bombs and modern technology. Can there be any cooperation in this world?”
Since our last post we have been very busy working on our bachelor project Black Monday. We had to write a documentation and wanted to post every now and then about our progress, but you know how things can go... messy :) There was just too much to do, game design & writing the bachelor thesis / documentation aaaand having a life next to it.
But hey here we are: Black Monday
Black Monday is a collaborative bet and arena brawler. The players set bets on them self or their fellow players. They manipulate the outcome of their bet in an awesome arena battle. Even through losing the battle they can win the game and earn the most money to be the millionaire.
Features:
• Innovative bet mechanics
• Play with or against your friends and earn sparkly money
• Great text based level creator (we created our own font, so we can make level design via texteditor)
• Bombs, many Bombs :)
Try it for yourself, check out the builds (mac / windows) in the download section and let us know what you think.
How do you get players to see what you want? I'm going to point out different aspects that should help us with that task.
First experimentations on the Micro Mechanics in the arena.
