"Black Days" is a standalone game based on the Quake Engine aimed to make a fully new singleplayer campaign, featuring revamped graphics, new weapons and items, and a lot of other features powered by the DarkPlaces sourceport for Quake.
In "Black Days" you incarnate the person of "René Gado", a latin american member of the DESP ("Departamento Especial de Sucesos Paranormales", in english "Paranormal Subject's Special Department"), that quickly after joined the Department is going to be involved in a series of strange events that would lead him to be part of the most strange mission ever: Being the savior of the entire universe.
Some weeks ago we received sad news that we want to announce. Jaguar, aka Nahuel Agüero, a Black Days scriptwriter, died at age 23 when he travelled to Brazil on Januray 26, 2014.
He and his friend, Vanina Soto, 25, were in Drum Hole (Agujero del Tambor) in Palhoça, Florianópolis. Vanina was close to a rift taking photos. A wave dragged her to the sea and Nahuel came to help her. Unfortunately, they were drowned. The lifeless Vanina’s body was founded first. Nahuel’s body was located a few days later.
We want to do a small, heartfelt tribute. Thanks to you, Black Day’s script has been
improved in every way, and thus the entire project. We will always remember you as a hero, great guy, committed to nature, and a big fan of videogames and movies.
If something beyond life exists we hope you meet with Kain.
You will always be present in our memories. Rest in Peace.
Hace unas semanas que hemos recibido una noticia muy triste que queremos comunicaros. Jaguar, más conocido como Nahuel Agüero, uno de los guionistas de Black Days, falleció a los 23 años cuando estaba de viaje en Brasil el 26 de enero de 2014.
Él y su amiga, Vanina Soto, de 25 años, estaban en el Agujero del Tambor, en Palhoça, municipio de Florianópolis. Vanina estaba cerca de un acantilado sacándose una foto. Una ola la arrastró al mar y Nahuel acudió a auxiliarla. Desgraciadamente ambos murieron ahogados. Primero encontraron el cuerpo sin vida de Vanina y días más tarde se localizó el de Nahuel.
Queremos rendirte un pequeño y sincero homenaje. Gracias a ti el guion de Black Days mejoró en todos los sentidos, y con ello el proyecto entero.
Te recordaremos siempre como héroe, gran persona, comprometido con la naturaleza, amante del cine y gran aficionado a los videojuegos.
En caso de que exista un más allá esperamos que te encuentres con Kain.

We still working on Black Days -Tech Demo -. The team have their own business so we are busy. However we work in our free time. If everything goes along fine we will publish an update.

This looks incredible I cannot wait until the game becomes fully playable :D I can tell that so much work and heart was put into this, seems highly inspired by Clive Barker's Undying but this will probably turn out to be even better than an already incredible game :D
