'Bernie Needs Love' is a retro platformer in which the player must help Bernie, a nice but anguished old man chased by the grim reaper, get to his girlfriend at the end of each level — and its Windows version is available for pre-purchase on IndieCity for US$2.50. If you buy the game while in beta, not only you'll receive a 50% off discount, but also frequent and automatic updates as more levels and features are implemented. The full version is expected in March and will offer 30 levels set in 3 different areas.

All in all, if you grew up playing the 8bit classics of the 80's and feel current games all look the same and provide little actual challenge, you'll sure be in for a good pixelated time, full of lovingly crafted sprites and rich chiptunes that are faithful to the sounds and moods of that era!
