Battlemass is a turn-based strategy game with both single-player and multi-player support. A match is played on a map consisting of tiles, and in turns of 3 phases – combat, harvest and build. The goal is to destroy your opponent's Base/City Unit. One of the cool features of the game is that you harvest the map/board's tiles for resources but in the process destroy the tiles, and any unit on such a tile.
Like most turn based strategy games, you have to have an interest in it to really enjoy it. The graphics are simple yet pleasing. The controls are easy to master and it's easy to start with a simple strategy. Definitely a good time waster.

This game is so solid, like a simplified strategy game with a really fun terrain mechanic reminiscent of table top games. Multiplayer is where this game shines most! :)

Absolutely love this!
I'm a big fan of board games and turn-based strategy - this combines the feel of both.
Also, the harvest phase adds an interesting spin on things when your playing field starts getting smaller and smaller.
I was also super-chuffed to find out that this game was developed by a South African indie developer ;)
Lots of fun.
The only negative that I can add thus far, is that the game AI is a little easy. I've not lost a single game against the AI yet, so a difficulty-level setting would have been nice.
A+ for everything else though. Great unit design, cool sounds, awesome overall look and great fun.
