We are planning a feature for bleeding out and bandaging yourself.

This is in fact correct, though a strike from a Minie Lead ball in .50-.60 caliber would almost certainly cripple you, break many bones, and lead to heavy blood loss. With the medical procedures in that time, you were lucky if an engagement cost you an Arm or a Leg; a chest/vital shot, and you would be done for.

Because they're low velocity they shatter the bone on impact, not break. That's why they just amputate every time.

.58 Caliber slow velocity minee ball had a 2/3 chance of killing you in about 10 minutes, if not kill you on the spot. Also the confederacy had a wide variety of .63 caliber muskets (not rifled) as well. Those pretty much kill you instantly

Yeah it would be awesome if once you ran out of health from musket fire you withered and flailed around for about a minute on the ground until you got healed by a medic, shot again (killing you), stabbed by an enemy (killing you), or bled out and just died.

But only if you got shot by a musket, melee and cannon shot should be insta kills for simplicity.

Damage will be calculated depending on the speed the bullet travels upon impact, the clothes the player is wearing, where it hits and what bullet is hitting him.

i think instead of everytime getting shot your guy just flail on the ground I think it should depend where you got shot at.. Americas army was descent at this...If you gt shot in a leg you cant sprint or youlimp if you get shot in both you fall and can just crawl unless a medic heels you if you get shot in the head your just dead.. arm harder to aim stomach its randomized if you live or wounded and if wounded you cant sprint very long you run our of breath quicker just a thought it doesn't have to be exactly like what I sad but it couldn't hurt to have some kind of wounded system

We do not want a too complicated damage system. We think that it might slow down gameplay and eliminated the usefullness of lines, as keeping up with a line will be very hard when hit in the leg.

Could you tell us a little more (as far as you can) about the reloading process? Will it be NW like, so to speak 'tap' then reload automatically straight through, or will it be more realistic like the reload process divided into several distinct steps you can abort then continue later where you had left the reloading of your musket. You'd have to 'tap' again for each reloading step (like 1) picking and tearing cartidge 2) set powder and cartidge 3) ramming cartidge 4) **** the musket etc.
Thanks for acclaring!

It will be in different steps. 7 to be exact. Each step can be canceled and returned to at a later stage.
We are also planning to introduce a quick loading system which makes it possible to load the musket in a shorter time.

Like a Tap Load with round shot? I know that British Infantrymen had Minie Balls for reloading, and then some ammunition with smaller bullets especially designed to be loaded faster, at the expense of accuracy. This allowed tactical surpression fire. THis tactic was seen in some colonial conflicts, e.g. the crimean war of 1853-1856.
