Hello again from the Dev team!
In our continuing attempts to get stuff out to you guys as quickly as possible, we've decided to do an interim release this month of an offshoot of our game, using the existing engine...
The sandbox is where all (most) of the magic happens in the development process. The loot system was born in the sandbox, the AI was born there, and we created every weapon to work in the sandbox.
It just made sense as we started putting out more and more complicated demos that we allow users to play the sandbox as well.
After getting some preliminary feedback about the game play and taking some tweaks into consideration, we thought, we could make a whole separate side game out of this!
And so:
Arcade mode!
We are going to have three kinds of game play in our first release of Arcade Mode.
1. Level Mode
This mode will allow you to sequentially fight through a series of predefined levels as you work your way up in complexity until one final mega battle!
2. Survival Mode
How long can you handle an onslaught of enemies and how many waves can you survive? More importantly, how many points can you score!
3. Sandbox / Simulation Mode
Pick an arbitrary set up to play. Have AI fight side by side with you. Set up two huge armies to fight each other and just sit back and watch. Its up to you how to stack the decks in sandbox mode.
Don't think we forgot about multiplayer! We've been adding multiplayer into the game slowly and are hoping for the second revision of this Arcade mode to be called Arena mode!
