Hey Desura!
I've been away for awhile as I've been splitting my time between the iPhone and the Windows/Mac version of the game, but I'm back with a big update and big news for Ballin!
Ballin is now in Beta! That's right! The new update, launched today, adds the remaining functionality and levels to the game. The game is now feature locked and is ready to be released. While the official release date is still a few weeks away, you are still able to pre-order the game right now and get access to the beta! Also, from now until the game is released, the game will be on sale!
Here is the full list of new features and changes from this update:
Achievements and codex entries have been added.
You can now earn achievements and unlock codex entries as you advance through the game.
There is a new level selection screen.
The new level selection screen is much cleaner and easier to navigate. Also, the game is now divided into three worlds of 15 instead of 5 worlds of 10. The three worlds are Guppy, Blizzard, and Violet.
Stars now unlock upgrades. The upgrades screen is available after the first world has been completed.
As you collect stars throughout the game, you will be able to unlock three upgrades for the Ball that will help you throughout the game and challenge mode. Speaking of Challenge mode...
The new Challenge mode allows you to test your skills in a time-attack style game.
Ballin now has Challenge Mode! This mode, available once a world has been completed, allows you to replay a world in a time-attack style game. The game will give you a score based on the time you complete the world in and your overall performance (deaths subtract points, stars collected increase points). Try and get the best score possible!
All forty-five levels are now available!
Probably the most exciting part of this update is that all forty-five levels of the game are now complete! You can now play through the entire game from start to finish.
