Alien Worlds Explorer is a 2d scifi landscape creation toy for iPad. Users will be able to add, scale, and colour scenery. Animations will bring the landscape to life. Unlockable achievements include weather effects and natural phenomena. Coming soon from Ghostwheel Games.
Second or third round of compiled code. It's so early, we haven't even started versioning it yet. This demonstrates the ability to move elements around the canvas and off into the distance, scrolling and color randomisation - which, at this point, is simply accomplish by restarting the app. I'm not the technical guy (I'm the artist and designer) but I can tell you that this is all OpenGL and C++. It will be ported to iOS which uses OpenGL ES and Objective-C. It's a custom 2.5d engine coded by Aquin who has a website here: Aquinhasa.com
