Autonomy is a sci-fi RPG rogue-like, with an emphasis on creating a vibrant game world to explore, conquer, control, or destroy.

Ruthless pirate or wealthy merchant? Deadly hitman or loyal captain? Leader of the free world or heartless dictator? Inspired by Sid Meier's: Pirates!, Autonomy gives you the freedom to explore a fully dynamic star cluster set in the far future, as well as shape its political landscape. From assassinating world leaders to creating your own faction, your actions have a direct effect on the state of the game world.



WHAT'S DIFFERENT ABOUT AUTONOMY?

  • Fully simulated political environment. Nothing is scripted in Autonomy, every event which takes place in the game is down some action taken by either the player or AI in-game.
  • NPCs with distinct personalities and goals of their own. Each NPC is trying to achieve their goals just like the player, and some will stop at nothing to do so. You will develop rivalries.
  • Customise your ship to suit your style. Like missiles? Get more missiles.
  • Explore an extensive star cluster in the far future. A huge range of solar systems and planets to explore.
  • Simple, satisfying ship combat. Charge up your weapons to unleash deadly salvos, or fire continuously and hope for the best.

WHEN WILL I BE ABLE TO PLAY?

Right now! Download the alpha demo right here on indieDB and play the ship combat system. The demo allows you to select all of the stats of both your and the enemy's ship, so you can experiment with different builds. There are also presets if you just want to get straight to the battle!
