[Issue] Missing dll? Thread - Attractio

I recently bought the early access version. When trying to open the game, the "attractioupdater" gives me the message: "The program can't start because mingwm10.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

I tried reinstalling but it didn't seem to fix the missing dll problem and i just have to close it out. I'm also running on win7 64 bit if you need that info.

We are checking why that dll is missing. To bypass the updater try to run the executable "attractio.exe" in the installation path. The default installation path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\GameCoder Studios\Attractio Early Access".

Same problem, same OS. Bypass did not work either.

Dunno, maybe i got a special problem. It stil does not start or update. But i have no error message anymore .

For the updater, you have to run it like admin(that's because the updater should be able to install updates of the game)
But the problem for "Attractio.exe" should be another one, try sending to us(contact@gamecoderstudios.com) the contents of the folder:

p;pdata%\Roaming\AttractioEarlyAccess\logs

If that folder it's empty, please report it.

There is just a folder named profile. No folder oder file for called log/s.

Hi, I think your Windows user name have spaces, we just noticed that bug.
For some current issues hard to explain, maybe the next official update will take some days, but we don't want to make you wait, so, I uploaded to Dropbox a patch.
IMPORTANT: This patch may generate incompatibilities with future updates, I suggest you to make a backup copy of the Attractio's root directory; also please only use this patch if your Windows user name have spaces, if that's not the case, this patch is useless to solve your problem

ok maybe i have got some special problems... on the other hand i have no problems with other software. But even with the patch the game does not start.

Hi again I just checked and the logs folder should be in a little different localtion:

%appdata%\AttractioEarlyAccess\profile\logs

I forgot to put the "profile" folder in the middle.
If you have that folder, please sent us the contents to contact@gamecoderstudios.com

There are 3 items in that folder: another folder called EarlyAccess and two files called profile.gcmenu and done

What's your windows username?
(ie the name of your %UserProfile% folder)

Another, thing, I just noticed that the game may crash if the configuration files are corrupt, so, try to delete this folder and run it again
%appdata%\AttractioEarlyAccess

If none of that works, please tell us, What's your GPU?, I'm starting to suspect that we have a compatibility issue, but we need some data to confirm it.

Yes got some special letters, but i've changed it to a more commen one a few steps before and changed it back to its old one. Steam family sharing wont work with the new one, on the other hand right now it doesnt work anyway...

Not work!!

Hi everyone, sorry for the delay, I just cheking the forum agaín .
We already fixed the special characters for windows usernames, I think in May was already fixed and I was asking only to make sure that the last update worked well.
We are still working in the game, but we hadn't released updates because we are changing things too fast to be able to test them (after testing one thing always is another untested), Anyway, thanks for the feedback, I hope we would be able to fix that problems.

so there is a chance taht the game wont work on my system after steam release? damn shouldnt have voted for this game until u fixed it.. na sry i know its still early access but paid for it and after months i still cant even start it.
