In this short 2.5D arcade/action game, control a giant mutant lizard to eat people, crush cars, and throw things. Spend points on upgrades and new abilities and try to survive an increasingly deadly hail of bullets.

Features

  • Three Game modes:
    • Story Mode - Play as the lizard and rampage your way through three main levels and two bosses with a few cutscenes along the way. Unlock two other monsters for arcade mode.
    • Arcade Mode - Choose from four monsters and try to survive as long as you can. No bosses. No cutscenes.
    • Practice Mode - Relax and practice your moves without getting shot at. Get a feel for the controls and throw stuff at targets.
  • Four Unique Monsters:
Each monster has over two dozen animations, plus an IK system to move the character's neck and head (so the monster can look at the annoying jerk who keep shooting it).
  • Upgrades:
Spend the points that you get from eating people to improve stats like health and armor, and unlock the ability to pick up cars and stomp on things.

About This Game

News

Hi everyone,

Today I am going to release this game out of early access (unless something bad happens within the next few hours such as a power outage or a ninja attack), and I wanted to say a few things about the game.

I want to thank everyone who has showed support by leaving comments or feedback (I even appreciate the criticism). I always figured a few people would enjoy this game, but I was surprised by the amount of positive comments compared to the amount of negative ones. Maybe that's just because it was in beta? I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Why is the game so short?

This was always intended to be a short game. It was partly inspired by the types of browser-based games I used to play on websites such as newgrounds. Just pointless little games with no real story and a simple goal. My thinking was that people would play for a little while, and then move on to another game.

What's the deal with that ending?

Yeah, I couldn't really think of an ending. Hell, I didn't really have a story to begin with. I tried to come up with some ending that would provide closure, but then I was like, "Screw it. Here's some jokes." That's why for this release, I have switched the order of the buttons on the main menu to arcade mode first and story mode second.

Why did I make this game?

I kind of wanted to play a game like this. But the Google Play store is filled with shovelware and cheap clones that exist only to display ads. The monster games I've seen were usually like, you touch something and it just explodes or disappears. (And I thought I was lazy.) So it didn't seem like anyone else was making any decent ones, so I figured I would have to make it myself. My advice to other aspiring indie game developers is, don't worry about what other people want to play; make the game that you want to play.

People (more than one person, at least) have been asking me about the progress on this game, so I think it's time for another update.

I recently modified my game to enable me to add translated versions of all the text in the game. All that's needed now is the translations.

Variation snail: no jump button, but can walk on any platform, through the slimy skin even the tilted wall, seize the things depend on the tentacles, eat people rely on the head of the mouth, jumped pedalling change to fall forward rolling, rolling key change to fast forward collision, spray skill forward mucus, encounter creatures will be glued to the surface, at the same time, poisoning, can shrink into the shell to digest before eat, immune attack and restore the value of life, this is my second self role, hope the author can see: D

I really enjoyed this. I felt powerful, but not invincible.

The 2 glitches I noticed:

1) sometimes jumping and pressing F to stomp would not allow me to do anything other than move until I jumped and stomped again.

2) a tank got stuck behind a building but was able to shoot at me if it could see me

Would love to see a mode where you have keep a tiny character alive for a time limit or something.

Thanks for commenting.
I think I can fix that tank problem easily by checking for obstacles between it and the player. The jumping/stomping bug is something I noticed as well, but still haven't figured out why it happens.

I'm not sure I understand what your game mode idea is. Are you suggesting something where you have to defend something like an AI controlled baby monster?

cool!

and I just meant, One of the little people running around would have health and you have to guard them.

I don't know how that would fit in the game, but I've been thinking about it for a little while and it could possibly be an interesting little bonus round or something like that.
