Ardent Seas blends modern naval combat with classical RTS gameplay, featuring Aliens, space lasers, and unholy amounts of missiles
I'm done with the model of the Dreadnought for the most part, still have to texture it and the Shaitan. Here it is compared to both the Shaitan and the TDN Battleship and Battlecruiser
Those guns seem like overkill. What's the caliber?
The Dreadnought has four quad 457mm/18" gun turrets, eight dual 127mm/5" gun turrets, six 208mm/8" anti-air gun turrets, four 20-cell inclined missile batteries, and 8 dual 35mm CIWS gun turrets.
It might also get eight dual 55mm/2.1" autocannons.
Sssso...178% of a Yamato just as the main armament...that's going to be one fun firework show.
Oh yeah, when one of these babies is on the field, you want to keep your Flagship as far away from it as possible, because this thing eats Flagships for breakfast.
Of course, the very existance of the thing means someone's going to be investing heavily in particularly large anti-ship missiles.
What kind of weapons do the Ravagers prefer? I always seem to forget.
They mostly use directed energy weapons, liquid metal lances, and drone missiles.
"Liquid Metal Lances", like Reaper guns?
Sort of, I got the inspiration for it from DARPA's MAHEM project, which I think the Reapers' guns are based on as well. The main difference between these and MAHEM is that MAHEM is a warhead, whereas this is a gun.
