Ancestors Legacy is a historically accurate real-time strategy game influenced by historical events in the Middle Ages. The game combines resource management and base building with large-scale, squad-based battles across vast battlefields, all rendered in great detail thanks to the Unreal Engine 4 tech. Mod Support Comes to Historical RTS Ancestors Legacy on Steam
1C Entertainment and developer Destructive Creations are putting history in your hands. Mod Support through Steam Workshop has been added to critically acclaimed historical RTS, Ancestors Legacy. Purple chickens! Funky warbeats! Cow levels! Near invincible peasants! The medieval battlefields of Ancestors Legacy will never be the same!
Mod Support will enable players to modify and add a number of things to the base game:
- Maps
- Characters
- Animations
- Game balance
- Modifying nations
- Audio
- Buildings
- And much more
How to get your hands on the editor
- Open Steam Client.
- Navigate to "Library" -> "Tools".
- Type the game name in the search bar.
- Download our Editor content.
Please keep the entire directory chain (not just folder name) as short as possible (eg. D:\Editor). This will help you avoid nasty problems in the future when cooking mods.

such a beautiful game really..few mods are happening fortunatly. I think that graphic, game style and fighing are epic in this game..i forgot the music! awesome. what would be intrsting in this mod would be to have more unit, variety and also more factions..or atleast special heroes to recruit for the factions alrdy in the game. this would give more variety at the gameplay..i dunno..u can pick up only 2 heroes of a roster of 4 each match
This game was definitely underrated and it involved some features we haven't seen in the genre which made it very cinematic to watch alongside titles like Total War or Company of Heroes. I wish the mod support was perhaps more expanded to include custom factions and more! It is very good but it falls flat after awhile!
