The Game

Alius Insectum is a story driven first person horror game set in the desolate remains of a once thriving town. Take on the role of John an indie game developer as he and his friend Steve investigate a lead from an article depicting an abandoned mansion full of secret passages and hidden rooms. Exited that this could be the perfect real life example for the setting of the game the two of them set out on their journey.

The Story

History tells us a tale of tragic mistakes that led to a once thriving town's demise. In short the theory goes that in May of 1962 the city council hired five individuals to clean up the town's landfill located in an abandoned coal mine pit.
Like previous years the landfill was set on fire.

However, unlike the previous years the fire could not be put out and it entered the labyrinth of abandoned coal mines beneath the town.

I propose another theory. A theory hidden among the memories left behind in the many vessels that make up this ghost town. A theory to be discovered and presented as a story of the sheer horror felt by the victims of an evil man.

I invite you to immerse yourself in this story as it unfolds throughout the desolate shells of its many vessels, within the hidden rooms and passages of the mansion and beneath the earth in the dark twisting labyrinth of the mines.

Chances are, you will shrug off these natural instincts to run the other way.

After all evil spirits and monsters only exist in dark twisted stories,

Right?

Testers Wanted

News 2 comments

I am postponing the release of the demo/teaser so that I can ensure a solid bug free game play across all platforms. I know how frustrating it can be for Mac and Linux gamers out there to be left in the dust with broken games.

Although I have done countless tests I know that the community will be able to find problems that I have just not found.

If you are interested in taking part in this private test please follow these steps

1: Send me a message with your system specs, OS and email address. "I need Windows, Mac and Linux users"

2: Wait for an email from me.

3: Respond to the email.

I need 15 testers in total 5 Windows , 5 Linux and 5 Mac.

Testers will receive a free copy of the game once it is complete and they will have there names in the credits of the game.

I will be emailing potential candidates a simple nondisclosure agreement stating that they will not share any in game video , images or leak information about the game to the public. This is temporary. All testers will be free to use any game play footage and share information about the game to the public once the game is released publicly.

Thank you I know that with your help we can make this game RIGHT!!

P.M. Me here or on Kickstarter

When you get to the driving car part, where are you suppose to get out of the car? I followed the green arrow but I never found a place to get out and walk.

Drive to the tunnel off of the roundabout the arrow points to and this will activate the next scene.
