AirBuccaneers is a Co-operative Vehicle based Team Deathmatch game with fierce aerial battles between the Buccaneers and the Vikings in beautiful Scandinavian landscapes. Players assume the roles of Buccaneers and Vikings and fly around the skies with their heavily armed hot air balloons in squad based combat that demands seamless teamwork and co-operation. The game has been heavily inspired by the Finnish national epic Kalevala and the Nordic Viking mythology. This isn't basic run-and-gun FPS game: The cannons need to be loaded, aimed and ignited, the airships are hard to steer and the winds are fickle, and lone warrior in general is pretty much useless. The goal of the game is to take down enemy airships or dominating a marked point in the map instead of killing other players. AirBuccaneers emphasizes teamwork and co-operation and follows the 4Co ideology that's in the core of LudoCraft's team building serious games: Communication, Coordination, Co-operation and Collaboration.

We are going to Vectorama this Summer!

Vectorama is one of the biggest LAN Gaming events in Finland. It’s held at Ritaharju school in Oulu between 7th and 10th of June 2012. Find more info about the event in their site: Vectorama.info (Site in Finnish).

The event has many gaming competitions, one of which is AIRBUCCANEERS!

The AirBuccaneers Tournament is played in 8vs8 teams and the team that excels in dominating the skies of AirBuccaneers will be well rewarded:

  • 1st Place:
    • Developer Sauna event at LudoCraft office on June 15th including:
      • Sauna at LudoCraft’s office with some catering
      • Guided tour at the LudoCraft production facilities
      • Private AirBuccaneers match against the devs (8vs8 Non-BYOC)
        • Surprise award if the winning team beats the devs’ team
    • Pre-Alpha Deluxe activation keys for AirBuccaneers (Not normally available anymore)
      • AirBuccaneers HD Game Account with all features, access to Beta and all future versions
      • Bunch of Attachments to your character (The friendly birds and a shield)
      • Two Exclusive War Cries!
      • Two Exclusive Character Skins (Will become available later)
      • Official AirBuccaneers HD Soundtrack as Digital Download (Will become available later)
      • The Last Song of Väinämoinen weapon of Mass Destruction
  • 2nd Place:
    • Alpha – Loot & Booty Pack activation keys for AirBuccaneers
      • AirBuccaneers HD Game Account with all features, access to Beta and all future versions
      • Bunch of Attachments to your character (The friendly birds and a shield)
      • Two Exclusive War Cries!
      • Two Exclusive Character Skins (Will become available later)

  • 3rd Place:

You can sign up for the tournament before the event at the Vectorama Tournaments site in here: Tournaments.vectorama.info or at the event itself between 16:00 and 23:59 on Thursday June 7th.

During the event at least one of us LudoCraftians will be there to answer your questions regarding AirBuccaneers and the mysteries of life itself. So come and join the great Vectorama LAN event!
