Adventures of the Beardsman is a 2D platformer that follows the story of The Beardsman, a normal gamer who gets transformed into a macho hero who uses his beard as the source of his powers.The game centers on a gamer called Chuck Beard. His home is a small, dilapidated apartment which he shares with his roommate Mat Smith; who is somewhat of a mad genius. Chuck returns home from work one day to find his roommate hooked up to his virtual reality machine. With a message showing "HELP I am Trapped I need you to Jack in." With no other way to help his friend Beard hooks himself up to the machine and is thrown into a virtual world. Upon arriving in this world, Beard finds his friend captured, and possibly even his mind enslaved, by the games A.I. The A.I. in question has taken the identity of Lord Balgrath. Beardsman must venture forth into a world of mystery in order to save his friend, and himself, from being trapped forever, or at least until he dies, in A.I. Hell.
