Wouldn't it be cool if you be Finn the Human and have Jake morph into different shapes to help you solve puzzles? What if you could do it as a side-scrolling puzzler with retro graphics in the classic "A Boy And His Blob" style?
Well now you can!
" Oh no! The Ice King has captured all of the Princesses and placed them in cages which are scattered throughout all of Ooo! "
This game is based on a Nintendo classic made in 1989 A Boy And His Blob. Which is an adventure game by gaming innovator David Crane, where a boy feeds his living blob jellybeans to turn it into shapes and tools.
So you can see how perfectly this style of game fits in with Adventure Time, a cartoon about a boy and his canine companion who can change his body into almost any shape.
In the game you play as Finn, the dashing young hero with his famous white hat. Joining you in this adventure is Jake, a "dog" that can change into 15 different and unique forms to help Finn throughout his journey. Jake's forms include all of the classics such as a ladder, bridge, bubble, trampoline and many, many new ones too!
All of the original pixel art based on Pendleton Ward's work was created by Mike Gaboury.
Adventure Time is copyright (C) Cartoon Network and Pendleton Ward etc... I do not own the aforementioned Adventure Time, any of the likenesses or anything to do with the cartoon.
As promised, here are some new screenshots and some game-play footage!
