It's been updated! There was a miscommunication about how updates worked but it's all sorted now.

Can you please update the game ? There are many important fixes in the latest version which is a couple of months old already...
Why is the Desura game not updating to the latest version??
Yep indeed, would be a good thing. For instance, if I recall correctly, the new version works around the crashes that occur (because some drivers don't like when anti-aliasing is enabled).
can somebody please clarify how the gift key for a friend works?
I bought it and ran it fine but didn't know how to log in multiplayer, so I registered an account on achron's website but still no luck.
I redeemed the key here on Desura and assumed that's what I can give a friend to get the gift copy and that worked to download it after registering on achron's website, even if it was hard to find how (searching through their forum helped). The friend's registered account + key also allowed multiplayer login.
Now I'm still unable to log in multiplayer and wondering how I should do it...

well, I read all the info I could find here on Desura and on Achron's website and eventually talked to Achron's guys on IRC.
As it turns out, you should be able to go to your gifts page ("History" → "Gifts History" from Desura's client main menu) and find there your additional copy, which you gift to anybody by just click on "Send" (under the "Options" column) and then choosing your preferred method (Desura friend, e-mail, ecc.).
If you do not receive your gift copy, you shuold e-mail Desura support to have it delivered to your account.
I just bought the Achron on Desura. I was wondering how do i get the extra cd key? can wait to try this out
The game is not listed as a Linux game on the main page. Will I be able to play it once I buy it?
I have 64-bit Ubuntu and it works for me =)
Actually scrap that. The menu works but the game terminates when I try to start playing. (Ubuntu 64-bit, ATI driver)
Sorry I don't mean to spam but I can't see a way to delete comments. I did get it working nicely after changing a config file as suggested on the Achron forum: Achrongame.com
To work with my ATI card I had to set the resolution in the .ini file, disable anti-aliasing and enable OS mouse.
