Corpse Creak, Nevada 1883. The calm of the midnight sky was interrupted by a brilliant green light. As the rift above tore through the dark, flaming stones came raining down on this quaint, quiet town. Residents who had suffocated as a result of the unbreathable air were buried proper, only to emerge from their graves the morning after. They were far from human.

An Atmospheric Survival Role-playing Game

Above Snakes is an atmospheric survival game with role-playing features set up in the American Old West. You are part of a beautiful world overshadowed by a spreading plague, responsible for turning people and wildlife into walking dead. You will find clues and information throughout your journey that may uncover the source of this mysterious plague.

Brave the Wilderness

Satisfy your basic needs: thirst, hunger and your state of mind! Protect yourself against dangerous predators like animals, bandits or - even worse - the dead walking on earth. Preparation, wit, and a strong gumption are necessary to withstand this harsh environment.

Clues and Investigation

As Aiyana, you seek to uncover all of the world’s hidden secrets. Search for clues hidden away in the environment or tucked into the minds of people. Clues can be anything: a candle, an empty bottle, or the skull of a dead animal. You never know what you may stumble upon.

Tiles

Explore the world however you see fit and choose how the landscape of the Old West will unfold before you. When you reach the edge of a tile, you have the power to decide what’s next. Be sure to err towards tiles that naturally fit, otherwise, you will find your resources scarce and survival slim.

Quests

Throughout your journey, you will come across people in need of help. The choice is yours: aid them or let them stand alone. Whichever you decide, remember that your choices have consequences.
