39 Days to Mars is a two player co-operative puzzle-adventure game. Step into the shoes of Sir Albert Wickes and The Right Honourable Clarence Baxter, two 19th century explorers who have chosen to pilot the HMS Fearful on its maiden voyage to Mars. When the steam engine runs out of coal, the ship's cat shreds the navigation chart, and the tea gets cold, it becomes clear that interstellar transportation isn't a walk in the park. It will take the talents of two players working together on the problems that arise to get to Mars in one piece.

Steam Greenlight

39 Days to Mars is now listed on Steam Greenlight. If you'd like to see the game distributed on Steam, please head over there now and vote for it!

What if I want a DRM-free version?
Don't fret! I'll also be releasing a stand-alone version that you can buy.

What happens if I'm a Kickstarter Backer?
If 39 Days to Mars becomes available on Steam, you'll get a free key for the game. If you don't use Steam, you'll also be able to download a DRM-free version directly.

Does this mean the game's almost finished?
No, sorry. I'm still aiming for a release in 2015.

What's Next?

During the development of the trailer, I implemented a number of 'last-minute' tweaks and changes to get everything looking polished. I'll need to go back and ensure these are bug-free, then merge them into the main development build. Alongside these cosmetic changes, I'll be ramping up production of the ship puzzles and working more on the story.

If you'd like to keep up with the development, remember to head over and subscribe to the 39 Days to Mars development blog. Updates are also posted to Facebook, and I'm trying to tweet more about the development procces on Twitter. And as always, if you've got questions or comments just leave them below.

ps. Have you voted on Greenlight yet?

Thanks! I'm still tweaking things a little because it's interfering with the gameplay, but overall I'm really happy with how it's come together.
