3089 is a futuristic, procedurally generated, open-world action role-playing game. All terrain, enemies, weapons, items, quests & more are uniquely generated. You are a promising robotic android design, made by the Overlord, placed on planet Xax. Your performance in common combat, support & intel scenarios is being closely watched. However, will you become too much for them to handle? What else on planet Xax exists that the Overlord doesn’t know about?

Warning, SPOILERS here. Stop reading if you haven't finished the game and don't want the ending spoiled.

-----------------

So after getting the infector, getting collected, and infecting.....I wasn't ready to stop playing. So I loaded my save game to before that had taken place, and this time blasted the collector out of the sky. Is that it? I see tons of "MyPlayerName Collector" ships roaming about, but none seem interested in trying to collect me. I try to infect them as well, but "infection failed" messages ensue(screenshots below). Visiting the Xax brain in the underground mentions the "ungrateful little robot" or similar(screenshot below). There are still quest machines handing out quests, but I'm wondering if there is any more of the main storyline available.

Anyhow, wonderfully overpowered screenshots below:

brain message:

infection attempt #1

infection attempt #2:

infection attempt #3:

Sick of infecting, time to destroy(died a lot until I drastically altered the odds to favor me instead):

Still in the mood for destroying:

there are multiple endings based on what you do when the collector comes - I know of being able to give in to the Xax by infecting it, give in to the Overlord by not infecting it and letting it carry you off, or go your own way and annoy everyone by destroying it; but there are probably more as well.

If you take option 3, they become a great source of parts, but as you say it's just free-roam from that point... personally, I'd love to see an "extra ending" where you actually take control for yourself and find out the whole story.

SPOILER ALERT:

If you infect the overlord ship when it abducts you, you get ending 1. After you are sent to the main menu you can continue your game as if nothing happened.

If you destroy the overlord ship when it abducts you, you get ending 2 and the game enters complete free roam: from now on, all overlord ships will try to kill you and become uninfectable. No matter what you do you will not be able to access any other endings because the overlord ships refuse to abduct you.

Presumably you can get ending 3 by letting the ship abduct you. I would assume you would be sent to the main menu and get to resume your game as though nothing happened.

I do not know of any other endings at this point.

What I want to see in the future is for each ending to result in a different kind of challenging free roam experience, but at the moment the only "real" ending appears to make overlord ships hostile.

I didn't get a ending but I used the infector on the brain thing underground and I killed it by accidentally :c
The overlord said something that the war will be over and making the robots peaceful. So I don't has the infected anymore (lost it from a boss at death) and when I defeat it I guess I will have to be collected :/
