We aren't dead, we merely stopped breathing news - 1099: The First Crusade

Hello Everybody,

It's a bit odd writing about 1099 seeing as it was one of the first projects I worked on in video games and I've come one hell of a long way since then. Back in 2011, when the game was cancelled, times were pretty grim. The team was in a state of disrepair, the game was in an even worse state than the team (which says something), and the team leader seemed to be oblivious to the fact. But those days are over, for 2 of the remaining members: Adam and me have kept in touch and finally returned to bring the game back to life.

So I should probably explain that we're not going to release too much more information than the fact that the game will no longer be an mmo, but will instead be a single player simulation experience. The game won't have a huge emphasis on any particular aspect, but will instead use a wide variety of features to contribute to a detailed, exciting, and enjoyable experience.

1099 is designed to push the boundaries of what we can expect from video games. Be sure to watch this space, there's going to be a lot of updates in the coming year!
