Hey all! I wanted to share the story behind Headless Chicken/Critical Depth Games and what led them to make Super Combat Fighter. The creator of Super Combat Fighter – Richard James Cook – loves fighting games. He grew up playing them in arcades, and he’s always been fascinated by the wild characters and unforgettable moves they have to offer. Driven by that fascination, Richard wanted to make a game that paid tribute to all of the elements he loved from his favorite fighting games – and (like an adrenaline-fueled cocktail) mix them up to pour out one crazy fighter. For a while, all Richard had was Super Combat Fighter’s art. He sought a spark that could unite his assets and ideas into one moving, breathing game. His searches brought him into contact with two powerful allies who were happy to help him program and produce the game. It has been the result of a lot of (fun) work, and there’s still much the teams would like to add to the game.
