VR Social Sim game idea Thread

I'm just gonna throw this out there: Does anybody else feel that eventually somebody is going to make a game that's basically Second Life (or to use a more recent comparison, Destiny) in VR with microtransactions? And when it happens, if whoever makes it is as unscrupulous as many AAA devs, it's gonna ruin lives? Hell, there are already games like this (A dozen or more Second Life clones with barebones VR support), but eventually somebody's going to make one that's polished and feature-complete enough to become a hit. And it's absolutely paramount that it be made by a small team of at least halfway-decent people.

I kind of want to get on the ground floor of this idea, but I don't have much in the way of relevant skills (I'm just an aspiring writer with a working knowledge of Source Filmmaker). If I'm honest, I've absolutely been "That Guy" that comes on here expecting to find a full team to make his dream game for free, although I've long since been disavowed of such notions. On the other hand, I feel like if I'm not the one to pull the trigger on this idea, then somebody else will. And that "someone else" might not have the scruples to approach it ethically. So I don't know. I have more fleshed out ideas if anybody's willing to hear them. Anybody interested?
