Tutorial - bulk conversion of WoW/WC3 .DDS files into useable .PNG images Thread

Hello all,

I recently finished a tutorial on how to convert batches of .DDS files used for WoW and Warcraft III icons into .PNG files - and wanted to share it with the modding community here in case anyone finds it useful for reusing these kind of art resources.

The process is semi automated and suitable for large numbers of icons, and uses XnConvert/Photoshop. In the process the 'frame border' around each icon is removed and the images slightly enhanced in sharpness.
