So is the 1MB download throttle on purpose? Thread

Every server I attempt to download form, the download starts climbing past the 1MB mark and after it reaches 1.5, it throttles itself back down to 1.0 MB. Is this intentional? Cause at this point it seems like it's intentional.

We don't have any throttle, so that's interesting. Have you tried different mirrors?

me and my mates are from aus and we only get 300k max this has been going on for months and it doesnt matter what mirror we use

Interesting, I'm from Australia too and have never seen speeds that slow. Admittedly I've got fast internet, but I just downloaded a 25mb test file in 5 seconds.

my speed test is over 90mb and when i download from any other sites i get a fast downloads but here it is only 320k and i try useing google web edge and firfox and they all get the same speeds

would be nice to have a mirror in aus
