Offering writing/narrative services for FREE Thread

Hi all,Looking to collaborate with game devs on their projects. I am interested in any writing tasks so long as they are credited, be those larger lead narrative roles or fleshing out dialogue, etc. Ideally, the game would be story-focused, however, I will consider it on a case by case basis. As the headline reads, I am trying to build a portfolio of work and so would be offering my services for free. All I ask is that the project doesn’t get abandoned halfway through. Excited to collaborate, no project or task is too small!Native English speaker with experience working at a writing consultancy firm.Note; this is NOT about my ideas or building a game around my story. Best way to build a portfolio is to release some short interactive fiction projects or your own. Using twine, ren'py or ink you can quickly build a whole story, or dialog exchange, or even simulate a whole game. This way you can control whether the project actually gets released, and you can also ensure that the words come first.

Writing fan fiction or sidequests for existing games is a great approach here. You don't have to onboard reads to your own world - they'll instantly know the characters and setting and are more likely to appreciate what you've done. It also shows you can write with other voices, which is hugely important.
