Have you ever dreamed about your own MMORPG game?
Without coding skills, without a big budget, and with a small team?
You thought it's impossible right?
If you answered yes to these questions, then we all thought the same while ago.

We started developing our game in early 2015, at least based on Unity and Atavism MMORPG framework. We developed lots of content, improvements, and fixes during for Atavism during those years, and in November 2017 we took ownership of Atavism project.

Since then we introduced 4 major releases:
Atavism 2.7 (was about putting our changes to Atavism main branch, and improving quality) - Wiki.atavismonline.com
Atavism 2018.1.0 (we implemented a totally new demo, and forged cooperation with many top asset store publishers like Nature Manufacture, Procedural Worlds or Awesome Technologies, to name a few. We also implemented a few new features) - Wiki.atavismonline.com
Atavism 2018.2.0 (the biggest and most time-consuming feature was introduced - navmesh and many fixes) - Wiki.atavismonline.com
Atavism 2018.3.0 (this release was all about new features and some fixes of course, but it was the most feature-rich release ever) - Wiki.atavismonline.com

Now we are following roadmap for 2019, wherein the first release 2019.1.0 we will introduce lots of new features and improvements: Atavismonline.com

If you are an MMORPG fan, join our community Discord.gg and see for yourself how easily you can build your dream game. We are providing the Atavism Live Demo, which was built within 2 weeks, which is like a sample of a game created based on the framework.

We also have 14 days trial in which you can test a complete package from the developer point of view: Atavismonline.com

Release notes of the new version - Atavism 2019.1.0 - Wiki.atavismonline.com

Over 300 improvements, new features, and fixes, you are risking nothing, check our 14 days trial or Live Demo.

The year 2019 is behind us, so I thought I'll sum it up a bit to show you what happened in Atavism and how it evolved during that time.

During that year we made 3 big releases:

- Atavism 2019.1.0 (added new features like minimap, loading screen, rewritten Atavism Editor, which is the graphics interface for Atavism configuration, massively improved server performance by 20-200x, implemented over 300 improvements, new features, and fixes) - Wiki.atavismonline.com

- Atavism X (10.0.0) (was focused mostly on horizontal scaling, where 4 servers are possible to multiplicate and automatically balancing based on the number of entities in the server instances) - Wiki.atavismonline.com

- Atavism X.1 (10.1.0) (was the last release in 2019 which fulfilled the roadmap where we introduced rankings, achievements, talents, permadeath functionality, bonuses, premium accounts module, gear score, repair option, loot distribution in a group and personal loot options) - Wiki.atavismonline.com

So, to resume, during 2019 we introduced over 1000 improvements. Some were fixes or improvements, but among them, there were also big features like scaling.

But that's not all. In November 2019 we received Epic Mega Grant, so we are proud to announce that Atavism for Unreal has been started, and we already have some sneak peek to present. Here you can find our project page Atavismonline.com and dedicated forum section Forum.atavismonline.com
