I am kindly asking you to fill out the following questionnaire, which aims to examine the process of managing the scope of the video game development project.

I am a student at the University of Economics in Katowice in the field of Information Technology

and Econometrics. The results of the research will be used to prepare the master's thesis.

  1. Are you familiar with the concept of project management, and would you be able to define the project definition?
  2. What does the process of initiating the game development project look like in your company?
  3. How much does the project planning process take up in your company?
  4. On what basis is such project documentation documented?
  5. How does defining the scope of the game look like?
  6. To what extent are the assumptions for the game written down in detail?
  7. Do you see the advantages and disadvantages of defining the scope of the project?
  8. Are you familiar with the concept of project management methodologies?
  9. What are the methods of managing work in your projects? Is the cascade, agile or mixed approach used?
  10. If different approaches are used, when are traditional and when agile?
  11. Do you see the advantages or disadvantages of such approaches?
  12. Do you use project management tools like MS Project or other? If other then what?
  13. Is there a separate role for your manager's project in your company, is this role taken by someone else?
  14. How often do projects start without planning?
  15. How does the process of implementing such a project look like in your company (game production)? Is it always the same (is there any systematized internal implementation process or is it created with the start of the project)?
  16. Do you have market orientation when you start a project? Is the analysis of the environment carried out?
  17. Do you create a separate risk management plan? Are the risks identified repeated for different projects?
  18. Are there other situations that have not been identified and caused problems during the project?
  19. How is the scope of the game verified?
  20. What is the process of change management and control of scope changes?
