How safe is Mod DB? Thread

I'm always nervous of downloading mods from sites and one thing that worried me is how safe would I be when I download mods from here, and what I usually mean is how fast would the mod get taken down or how to tell if a mod packs secret harmful files.

modDB, Nexus, and Steam Workshop are the three kings of PC mods. Moddb is very safe. I been using it for the last several years and never (to my knowledge) ever got a virus or malware of sorts from a Mod. The staff scan all mods before they upload, so don't worry and mod away!
